The Group of Seven (G7) is a diplomatic forum between the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, and Japan.
The last addition to the G7 was Russia in 1997, creating the G8, which lasted until Russia was expelled in 2014.
There have been many calls to add members to the G7 in recent years, such as Australia and South Korea.
This question resolves YES if the G7 adds at least one country as a member before 2030, otherwise resolving NO on 1 Jan 2030. Intergovernmental organizations do not count. If a new group is created, but the old group (G7) still exists separately, this would not count.
