If some o1-like model has better reasoning than gpt5, openai might want gpt-5 to be able to function-call to that other AI with better reasoning, on reasoning intensive tasks. Will this be known to happen, within a week of the release?
Alternatively, the market resolves Yes if gpt-5 is known to be able to make tool calls to other models which are themselves reasoning models, whether or not gpt-5 is natively a reasoning model.
