I'm curious where people will see and report cybertrucks on the road.

If one shows up in a country, even where they're not officially sold there, people will go nuts with pics and we should be able to find multiple videos across insta, yt, tiktok etc.

So each country entry is whether by mid 2025 there will be real

Requirements: it has to be a real cybertruck owned by a member of the public (or staff for personal use) but not a publicity event.

Counts as YES

  • A person in Japan driving a tesla into a watson's or on a highway

  • A person who does turn out to be tesla staff driving a car in a way that looks normal. I say this to make judging possible.

Doesn't count as YES

  • A cybertruck in a dealership in Beijing not driving

  • A cybertruck being driven around the block in Beijing by a tesla staff employee clearly identified

So, if the image/videos are clearly tagged as promotional by Tesla the company, they will not count. But as long as they look real they are YES.

The person can just be visiting; i.e. if Jay-Z takes his Cybertruck to Egypt it would count IF he drives it on a public road. But if he only is in it on stage that doesn't count.

Also, add your answers and have fun. Cities and subregions are okay but make sure to think about how we'll judge.

@Ernie Russia and Europe can resolve to YES, thank you!

Is there a link I missed?

Russia okay. I'm investigating if that counts for Europe. I had thought clearly no, but some sources online say Chechnya is part of Europe somehow...

7mo

I wouldn't have thought Russia would count but on the Wikipedia for Europe, it's listed in the States and Territories list and the maps.

@shankypanky after consideration, I have decided that for this market Chechnya is not part of Europe

(same question for Africa - should these be changed to particular countries?)

@shankypanky it's multi answer so it's all okay. The Africa price will be higher than individuao countries and that's okay

What are sweepstakes markets?
There are two types of markets on Manifold: play money and sweepstakes.
By default all markets are play money and use mana. These markets allow you to win more mana but do not award any prizes which can be cashed out.
Selected markets will have a sweepstakes toggle. These require sweepcash to participate and allow winners to withdraw any sweepcash won to real money.
As play money and sweepstakes markets are independent of each other, they may have different odds even though they share the same question and comments.
