What will happen in the third season of the HBO series White Lotus?
Update 2025-03-06 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): Important criteria for resolution:
The event must involve physical interaction (not merely a kiss) with an immediate family member
The interaction must be a result of sexual attraction
Update 2025-03-13 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): Full Frontal Male Nudity Clarification
The outcome is determined by whether the male genital is shown in its entirety.
The presence or absence of outer thighs is not relevant.
Update 2025-03-16 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): Adultery Clarification:
Relationship Inclusion: Acts of adultery qualify if the individuals are in a relationship, not only in a legal marriage.
Examples: This clarification explicitly covers cases involving characters such as Jaclyn, Chloe, Chelsea, and their respective male counterparts.
Update 2025-03-18 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): Electronics Theft Clarification:
The act must be committed in the spirit of stealing/breaking in (i.e. it is not enough if the subject only hides the act from their family).
If a family member is clearly present (as with Pam) during the act, it does not satisfy the intended criteria for covert removal.
Update 2025-03-28 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): Handjob Clarification:
A handjob does not qualify as intercourse.
Only full sexual intercourse is considered toward meeting the outcome criteria.
Update 2025-03-30 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): Named Characters Clarification:
Named characters are those whose names are mentioned explicitly during dialogue or who are central to the story.
Peripheral characters (e.g., bodyguards) do not count unless their names are referenced in the narrative.
@jim because she has worn a Maggie Simpson necklace (I am not joking) https://www.reddit.com/r/WhiteLotusHBO/comments/1jmf150/chloe_is_the_shooter/
@10thOfficial I would suggest no, or have their names been said in any dialogue? I feel like the "named" is exactly to draw a distinction between peripheral characters and ones relevant to the story.
@Predictor it's a bit of a meme, he always dances. Just google "Sam Rockwell..." and it will autocomplete with "dance"
@Knuffa if you're thinking about the handjob, then ChatGPT agrees with me in defining it as a no. Idk, did he also have sex with Chloe?
@HenriThunberg I think both brothers had sex with Chloe. Saxon/Chloe was not shown directly but it's implied, there's a scene where they are in bed together and Chloe leaves (to get Lochlan)
Edit - Ill have a look later to find it
@HenriThunberg @Predictor I watched it again (not super carefully, was skipping bits) and I'm not so sure anymore. In the third flashback (Lochlan's) Saxon and Chloe are shown reflected in a mirror, making out. But they seem to still be dressed at that point. That's the closest I could find.
We do have Chloe's word for it, she said she "hooked up with both brothers" and that "they had a threesome". We should not trust her either way though since she will probably try to represent to Greg that she had sex with at most one brother (probably will be Saxon, since he's the one that will show up at the dinner, and also he's not in highschool, so it makes her look less creepy)
@Odoacre thanks for going out of your way. Maybe let's add it to stuff that might (unlikely though, IMO) resolve itself by him having something more clear cut later on. If he doesn't, we revisit?
@shankypanky this should already be resolved yes right? Chloe blackmails Saxon into coming to dinner, otherwise he would have not come
@ukaszBartoszcze ah, this was added after that episode aired so it wouldn't count. I'll add a note about the add date to make it more clear.
