I don’t see this one happening, sadly. The next three Worlds courses (2025-27) are going to require great climbing ability to win, more than Wout possesses. He’ll have an outside shot at a bunch sprint in Abu Dhabi 2028, but his real chances won’t come again until Copenhagen 2029 and Brussels 2030, at which point he’ll be 35, and likely either retired or well below the level needed to win a WC title.
