This question will resolve to "YES" if, before January 1st 2040, a cryonics patient is publicly and credibly documented to have been successfully and biologically revived, as evidenced by:

  1. The patient's physical health being restored to a stable, functional state, which must include:

    a. Restoration of vital signs, such as heart rate, blood pressure, and respiration.

    b. The ability to maintain homeostasis without ongoing external life support.

    c. The regeneration or repair of any damaged tissues or organs.

  2. The patient's cognitive functions being restored to a level consistent with their pre-cryopreservation state, which must include:

    a. The ability to form and recall both short-term and long-term memories.

    b. The capacity for reasoning, problem-solving, and decision-making.

    c. The preservation of the patient's personal identity, as demonstrated by the retention of autobiographical memories and recognition of friends or family members.

  3. The successful revival must be achieved using a biological method or intervention, such as:

    a. The application of advanced regenerative medicine techniques, including the use of stem cells, tissue engineering, or gene therapy.

    b. The use of nanotechnology or other molecular-scale repair mechanisms.

    c. Any other biological or medical approach that restores the patient's physical health and cognitive functions without relying on artificial or non-biological systems.

A successful demonstration must be accompanied by:

  1. A publicly accessible report or documentation detailing the methods, technologies, and interventions used for the patient's revival and restoration of physical health and cognitive functions.

  2. Independent validation of the results by at least two separate entities with expertise in cryonics, neuroscience, regenerative medicine, or related fields. These entities can be research groups, institutions, or companies.

  3. The publication of the findings in one or more peer-reviewed scientific journals.
