In February 2026, the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Commission approved a budget that would charge for parking on roads inside Golden Gate Park (currently free parking). This market will resolve if there is paid parking on the streets inside Golden Gate Park (controlled by the Recreation and Parks Department) by 2026-06-30.

This does not factor in the Museum Concourse Garage, which is already paid parking.
