The lawyers who voided Elon Musk's $56 billion compensation as excessive on Friday sought a record a $6 billion legal fee, payable in the electric car maker's stock.Resolves YES if the law firms or associated lawyers get $1 billion paid to them in cash, Tesla stock, or anything else valued at that amount. Resolves NO if there is no active related case in any court(including appeals), no court filing for at least 1 month, and the total pay to all involved law firms is less than $1 billion. Resolves 50% if nobody provides me an article, court ruling, or other source proving either way or that the case is ongoing within 1 month of this market reaching its natural close date. Resolves NA if this market gets fewer than 20 traders.
Close date will be extended by another year as long as the case is ongoing.
