Variant means that Mistral claims it to be derived from Mistral-medium.
If not released by December 2025 or if no downloadable models can clearly have their training ancestry traced to Mistral-medium, resolves to "[Later than December 2025]".

Quantized and leaked weights would count, but Mistral must claim the leak to be derived from Mistral medium.
We do have a statement from the CEO of Mistral, but no claim that it is related to Mistral medium. If later they make such a claim, it can still resolve January even once January has long passed.
