NO

Resolves YES if both of these are true:

  • Nintendo Direct (any format) on September 12th (Pacific Time) occurs

  • That presentation includes at least one "flight‑related game," including

    • Games where controlling an aircraft (e.g. airplanes, spaceships, flying creatures, other aerial vehicles) is a core gameplay mechanic. (Would include series such as Microsoft Flight Simulator or Pilotwings)

    • Games centered on the management, operation, or simulation of aviation-related activities (e.g., airline management, airport operations, or logistics where aircraft are the main focus).

This does not include games where flight is a minor element (e.g. a platformer with a gliding ability, a GTA-like game where you can fly aircraft as well as a very high amount of land/water vehicles, or a small number of flight missions/minigames/cutscenes in a game where it is not the major focus).

If resolution seems likely to be controversial, I will consult with the community and possibly run a poll before resolving.

Why specifically a flight-related game?

@MartinSundhaug The Direct is rumored for sep 12 which is unusual, it's usually on a Wednesday or Thursday. They could have avoided Thursday for 9/11, but they're usually not averse to doing stuff on this date. But maybe if they have a particularly insensitive game...

And MS Flight Sim has been rumored months ago
