Leonard W. Riley's "Origins of the Fifth Amendment," published in 1968, is a comprehensive history of the legal origins of the American constitutional right against self-incrimination, memorialized in the Fifth Amendment to the US Constitution. The book is 441 pages long, including an appendix at the end (which I will read) and excluding endnotes and the bibliography (which I will not read). I am currently on page 114 and have been reading the book on and off since sometime in June.
Question will resolve YES if, before 11:59 PM, US Mountain Daylight Time, on 31 August 2025, I have finished reading up through page 441. Question will resolve NO if I have not finished before that time and date.
