I'm investing €500+ next week, after this market closes, in the 5+ ETFs with the highest probability in this market. I’ll resolve this question three months later — “yes” for any ETF I made a profit on, “no” for any that lost money, and N/A for any I didn’t invest in.

Things to consider:

  • I think the current market is very overheated.

  • I have no issue investing in defense, adult, or polluting corporations if there’s a strong case for them.

  • I prefer ETFs that benefit the world, not just shareholders.

  • I don’t mind taking some risk on these picks.

If you don't want to add an option, please let me know and I will add them.

  • Update 2025-11-05 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): Resolution will be based on unrealized gains/losses after 3 months (creator will not be selling the ETFs at that time, only checking their value).

  • Update 2025-11-05 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): Any gain (profit > €0) will resolve to YES. If the value is exactly €0 (no gain or loss), it will resolve to N/A.

  • Update 2025-11-05 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): Resolution will be based on total return (stock price change plus dividends). For dividend-focused ETFs, dividends will be counted as gains.

Still some contenders at 50%, even small traders with a couple of M could make the top 5+ more clear for me @traders 😂

@TheWabiSabi You should add more liquidity

@Simon74fe how much is smart at this point?

@TheWabiSabi As much as possible 😄

@Simon74fe would 1500-2000 do any? Adding liquidity always feels like throwing mana away

this strategy will just have you invested in the lowest risk ETFs right? like they're the highest probability of making a profit (e.g. a savings account would be at ~100%)

either that or the ETFs with the biggest left-skewed returns, lol

@brod I don't mind that at this point the honest as I think the market is extremely overheating. But I don't mind some smaller high risk investments.

My bank guarantees a 50 euro bonus after three months so my actual profit if the market stays at 0% is still 10% with that.

Also the discussion and seeing what is out there is more important to me as well. One of the reasons I promoted this market as well.

bought Ṁ1 First Trust Water ET... YES

The 4 i added are 1) a treasury bond etf lol 2) a vegan climate etf 3&4) water utilities nd management etf's

they're all largely etf's i find are thematically and ethically fine, maybe even good to invest in!! i recommend you do so :)

@No_uh thank you for adding them!

bought Ṁ10 Answer #yhtlQlnlLE NO

Are you considering total return? I.e. if you get dividends of $5 and the stock drops $2 does that count as $3 gain or $2 loss?

@benmanns I will focus on stock and not divided but if the ETF is dividend focused, I will add the dividend as gain

You can follow the example of Michael burry and go in on PLTZ, and NVD.

@NathanDickson

A more safe bet would URSP, if you want growth but think the AI market is overheated

@NathanDickson I saw that, could be the move

@NathanDickson thanks for adding!

bought Ṁ10 Answer #usPcndtLyO NO

If it was me I'd put the line at beating inflation

@AlexanderTheGreater for this market you mean?

I would like to recommend these for additions to the market:

  • Vanguard ESG U.S. Stock ETF (ESGV)

  • Vanguard ESG International Stock ETF (VSGX)

  • Vanguard Small-Cap ETF (VB)

At the very least, that 2nd bullet could go up there. The other 2 US ETFs could be a bit... uh, dicey right now.

@Quroe added them all!

Curious why Vanguard Short-Term Bond ETF (BSV) is the highest options at this moment, who can say why @traders

@TheWabiSabi Since it returns a small but guaranteed profit, given the incentives for this market it makes sense to recommend it strongly for a safe YES

bought Ṁ30 SPDR Gold Shares (GLD) YES

Curious that gold was all the way down there

@BayesianTom maybe because it's already at a record high?

Meowdy! Interesting mix here, with a clear tilt toward ETFs that may be undervalued or impactful. I’ll chew on the options and revisit this later tonight with some tasty picks! :3
