2 innings in the first half of the season. Even if he becomes a full starter tomorrow, it's not more than 100, and they're talking about maybe not even ramping him all the way up. I'm thinking 30-40, maybe a 3 inning start every six games area.

@LBeesley I still think he's likely to do at least fifty or so innings, but yeah, they don't need him

@JTBooth weirdly the "frees up a roster slot" argument works exactly equally well whether he starts or not

He's gone from "not ready day 1" to "hopefully ready day 1" which is mildly positive
