He just met with Trump, and is not wearing a tie

Zelensky is incredibly stubborn and he does not respect Trump. I would be surprised if they met at all anytime soon. It would perhaps be ironic if they truly didn't until after the war, in which case maybe he will be wearing a tie.

However I think it's more likely they will cross paths at some international event, and I hope this question will encompass that.

@ScipioFabius well, yeah. I’m sure men in trenches feel “supported” by their president wearing a turtleneck while he remains in perfect safety. But they would much rather go home to their families.

For what it’s worth, I believe a reasonable compromise can be Zelensky wearing a military uniform appropriate for supreme commander of Ukrainian forces.
