NO

Taylor Swift's 12th album, "The Life of a Showgirl", releases at 12pm ET/9pm PT. I plan to listen to listen to a few songs from it within its first hour of release, on Spotify. If I experience meaningful technical difficulties, this resolves YES.

  • Resolves YES even if I am eventually able to listen to a song, as long as there was a meaningful disruption at some point.

  • It will not resolve YES based on any disruption—if it seems like something that could plausibly happen on a normal night (Spotify fails to load for a few seconds or etc), that doesn't count. It needs to be a meaningful/substantial technical difficulty. This market is subjective, & I can't define exactly what I think is a "meaningful disruption", but it needs to be enough to annoy me & be noticeable (& not just attributable to a moment of bad internet or etc). But it doesn't need to make it impossible to listen—if I need to restart the app a few times, I still find that annoying.

  • I don't plan to listen to the whole album, likely just a few songs (which means there's less total time for something to go wrong).

  • If for something comes up and I'm unable to try to listen to it within an hour of release, resolves N/A.

This is an obviously subjective market, based on my own self-reported experience, so traders beware,

I didn’t try listening until 9:30 or so, so no idea if there were issues at the moment of launch. But I listened to the first few songs without any delay—salute your local SRE 🫡
