The UAE government's ‘We the UAE 2031’ vision aims to "rank the UAE as one of the top 10 countries globally in the ‘Human Development Index’".
The Human Development Report 2023/24, released by the United Nations Development Programme in March 2024 and based on data collected in 2022, ranked the UAE 17th globally. The UAE had the second-highest growth from 2010 to 2022.
Will the UAE be among the top 10 countries in the Human Development Index (HDI) in 2031?
This question will be resolved using UN data collected in 2031. If no data is collected in 2031, it will use data from the next available year. This most likely means this question will be resolved using the UN report published in 2033.
