What methodology is this using? What definition?

predicts NO 1y

@Uaaar33 The Harvard Crimson usually publishes a "The Class of 202X by the numbers" article at the start of each fall term. See 2027's for example: https://features.thecrimson.com/2023/freshman-survey/makeup/

This usually includes a demographic section. I'll be going with the % asian/asian-american there.

@fortenforge to clarify, not including South Asian? Only "Asian" which I assume means East + SE Asian?

predicts NO 1y

@Uaaar33 Good point. I considered this for a bit, and I think the best thing to do is to add % of asian/asian-american with % south asian. i.e. including South Asian. My reasoning is that the original SFFA v. Harvard lawsuit and subsequent studies seem to have included South Asians as Asian for their purposes.

What are sweepstakes markets?
There are two types of markets on Manifold: play money and sweepstakes.
By default all markets are play money and use mana. These markets allow you to win more mana but do not award any prizes which can be cashed out.
Selected markets will have a sweepstakes toggle. These require sweepcash to participate and allow winners to withdraw any sweepcash won to real money.
As play money and sweepstakes markets are independent of each other, they may have different odds even though they share the same question and comments.
