@JasonQ but in practice it seemed like he had authority, right? In the spirit of the question it seems he was an admin
@JasonQ I don't know what the definition of an 'admin' is, but in common sense terms it's someone who leads an org, which he was doing, right?

@ian the description specifically says, “headed by a USDS Administrator.” That seems to be someone else.
@ian as seen in the links, the government has argued under oath that Trump wasn’t speaking literally and he legally didn’t have that role, hence this market trading relatively low. Exactly where his legal boundaries were vs what he actually was doing is the subject of the ongoing cases.
@ian if the question was, “Will Elon Musk head DOGE?” That would most likely be a YES (though probably with some controversy because of this legal situation).
This question is;
headed by a USDS Administrator. Will that be Elon Musk?
They hired Amy Gleason into that role when Mina Hsiang left USDS/they turned it into DOGE so this is NO. Musk was apparently not an employee and not the USDS Administrator. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amy_Gleason
