Union membership has generally been in decline in the US for the last decade. In 2022 union membership was up slightly vs 2021 in absolute numbers, but as a percentage it was down by 0.3%.

Will the percentage of workers who are members of a labor union in the United States increase in 2023 compared to 2022?

The bureau of labor statistics has not released data for 2024 yet as far as I can tell

@Odoacre derp, I'm dumb.

https://www.bls.gov/news.release/pdf/union2.pdf 10.1% for 2022 and 10.0% for 2023

@Odoacre Can resolve:

The share of American workers who are members of a union hit a new low in 2023 β€” it's now 1 in 10 β€” though the total number of unionized employees rose slightly.

His argument is the rate increased through NRLB elections and government hiring.
