As a relatively small startup, I think OpenAI is too focused on building AI to prioritize making yet another way to log into things.

@Soli The GPT store is clearly AI-related. I don't see a good reason for OpenAI to want to give you another way to log into arbitrary websites

@CDBiddulph i think sign-in with openai will achieve what the gpt-store wanted to do but failed at.

@Soli @CDBiddulph maybe some form of pairing their AI with other sites to talk to documents?

@Clark yes and much more - so they can offer login with openai and instead of developers making api calls and handling the costs if someone already pays for chatgpt premium the developer can offer llm features without extra charges so you can use chatgpt across the web kind of like what openai aimed for with the gpt store but didn't succeed

OpenAI's sign-in is AWFUL. It is forever telling me that I've been logged out.
