Fact is in the US it is still legal as punishment for a crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted. That is according to the thirteenth amendment. So slavery in prisons for instance is legal.

@JussiVilleHeiskanen Something that's already been legal cannot be re-regalized, so the question refers to any expansion of slavery under President Trump.
